Product information "Anti-TIM3 (T Cell Immunoglobulin and Mucin Domain-containing 3, T Cell Immunoglobulin Mucin 3, TIM3,"
As a member of the T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain (TIM) family, Tim-3 is reported to promote or terminate Th1 immunity and is thought to influence a range of inflammatory conditions. It is constitutively expressed in a subset of murine IFNgamma-secreting Th1 cells, but not Th2 cells, in both human and mice. Additionally, Tim-3 is expressed dendritic cells, and by a subset of CD4+ cells where its levels of expression increase upon anti-CD3/28 stimulation. This molecule is also highly expressed in in vitro polarized Th1 cells, and at lower levels in Th17 cells. It is known to synergize with Toll-like receptors and is thought to regulate Th1 and Th17 cytokine secretion. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:1000 detected TIM3 in human monocyte derived dendritic cells, Western Blot: 1:2000 detected TIM3 in human thymus tissue lysate, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human thymus tissue lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
