In T cell lymphoma, increased expression of TIAM1 has been associated with enhanced invasive capabilities of cancer cells. TIAM1 promotes the formation of invasive structures called invadopodia, which facilitate cancer cell movement through tissues. Additionally, TIAM1 has been shown to activate signaling pathways that promote metastasis, making it a key player in the spread of T cell lymphoma. Studies have demonstrated that targeting TIAM1 can inhibit T cell lymphoma invasion.
