Product information "Anti-TGM2 (TGC, GNAH, G-ALPHA-h, TGase-2, Transglutaminase-2, TGase C, TGase H, Tissue transglutamin"
Tissue transglutaminase, also called TGC, is a 78-kDa, calcium dependent enzyme of the protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferases family. By fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), this gene is mapped in 20q11.23. Transglutaminases are enzymes that catalyze the crosslinking of proteins by epsilon-gamma glutamyl lysine isopeptide bonds. While the primary structure of transglutaminases is not conserved, they all have the same amino acid sequence at their active sites and their activity is calcium-dependent. The protein encoded by this gene acts as a monomer, is induced by retinoic acid, and appears to be involved in apoptosis. Finally, the encoded protein is the autoantigen implicated in celiac disease. UniProt Number: P21980, Gene ID: TGM2, Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) and Immunocytochemistry. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Handling: Store at -20?C for one year. After reconstitution, store at 4?C for one month. Can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20?C for long term., Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
