Anti-TDRD7

In 1X PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.09% sodium azide. TDRD7, also known as Tudor domain containing protein 7, is a component of chromatoid bodies in spermatids (named processing bodies or P-bodies in somatic cells). It is found in a mRNP complex together with TDRD1, TDRD6 and DDX4. It is also found in a complex with CABLES1, PCTK2 and PIWIL1. TDRD7 has been shown to interact with histone H3 tri-methylated at K9 in vitro. Protein function: Component of specific cytoplasmic RNA granules involved in post-transcriptional regulation of specific genes: probably acts by binding to specific mRNAs and regulating their translation. Required for lens transparency during lens development, by regulating translation of genes such as CRYBB3 and HSPB1 in the developing lens. Also required during spermatogenesis.
