Anti-TCR, alpha, beta (T Cell Receptor), PE/Cy5.5 conjugated, clone 5K25

The alpha/beta TCR is expressed on T lymphocytes of all mouse strains tested. Plate-bound or soluble antibody activates a/b TCR-bearing T cells. In vitro and in vivo, this antibody can induce immature thymocytes to undergo apoptosis.3,4 In vivo administration of this antibody has been shown to deplete a/b TCR-bearing cells to near completion and prevent graft rejection. Applications:  Flow cytometry 2,6,7,  Immunohistochemistry (acetone-fixed, frozen sections and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections),  Immunoprecipitation 2,8,  In vitro stimulation of a/b TCR-expressing T cells 2,  In vitro and in vivo depletion of a/b TCR-bearing cells 9, Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: < 0.2ug/10e6 cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
