This gene encodes a protein that contains a sterile alpha motif domain in the N-terminus, an ATP/GTP-binding motif, a GTPase-activating protein domain, and a STAR-related lipid transfer domain in the C-terminus. The gene is located in a region of chromosome 13 that has loss of heterozygosity in hepatic cancer. At least three alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-500, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
