Protein function: Negatively regulates Ras signaling pathways and downstream activation of MAP kinases (PubMed:15683364). Inhibits fibroblast growth factor (FGF)-induced retinal lens fiber differentiation, probably by inhibiting FGF-mediated phosphorylation of ERK1/2. Inhibits TGFB-induced epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in lens epithelial cells. [The UniProt Consortium] Buffer: 40% glycerol and PBS (pH 7.2). 0.02% sodium azide is added as preservative. Highest antigen sequence identity to mouse: 83% and to rat: 84%
