The SOX (SRY-box containint gene) gene family encodes a group of transcription factors defined by the conserved high motiliity group (HMP) DNA binding domain. They are involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:137,500., Western Blot: Human placenta. A band is detected at ~65 and 75kD., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
