Anti-Snapin (SNARR-associated Protein, SNAP25BP, SNAPAP)

Snapin (SNARE­associated protein) is an ~15kD, 136 amino acid vesicular phosphoprotein that contains a coiled­coil interacting domain. In neurons, it binds SNAP25 and RGS7 and regulates steps between synaptic vesicle docking and neurotransmitter release. In pancreatic beta cells, it mediates incretin­stimulated insulin secretion. In germ cells, it binds PUM2 and Nanos1 as a putative adaptor protein. Human Snapin shares 98% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Snapin, while mouse and rat Snapin share 100% aa sequence identity with each other. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
