Transfers the head group from PE (1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine) on to different ceramides such as N-acylsphinganine (dihydroceramide) and N- acyl-(4R)-hydroxysphinganine (phytoceramide) to form N-acyl- sphinganine-1-phosphoethanolamine and N-acyl-(4R)-hydroxysphinganine-1- phosphoethanolamine, respectively.
