Product information "Anti-SIK2 (Serine/Threonine-protein Kinase SIK2, Qin-induced Kinase, Salt-inducible Protein Kinase 2"
SIK2 (Salt inducible kinase 2) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) subfamily, predicted molecular weight 104kD. SIK2 is found in adipocytes and might be involved in metabolic regulation in adipose tissue. Sik2 phosphorylates ser794 of human insulin receptor substrate-1 (IRS1) in insulin-stimulated adipocytes, playing important roles in modulating the insulin-signaling cascade of adipocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:100-1:400, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
