Serpin I1, also known as neuroserpin, is a secreted serine protease inhibitor predominantly expressed in the brain. Serpin I1 defects cause familial encephalopathy with neuroserpin inclusion bodies (FEN1B), an autosomal dominant dementia. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0. 5-1.0ug/ml. Detection limit is ~3ng/well., Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Detection limit is ~25ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
