Anti-Serotonin Transporter (SERT)

Serotonin plays important physiological functions at the intestinal level, the human intestinal epithelial Caco-2 cells functionally express SERT, both at their apical and basolateral cell membranes. It is a 630aa residue in all human (chr 17q11), rat and mouse. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml (Chemiluminescence), ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
