Product information "Anti-Ribokinase"
In enzymology, a ribokinase (EC 2.7.1.15) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction nATP + D-ribose ADP + D-ribose 5-phosphate.Thus, the two substrates of this enzyme are ATP and D-ribose, whereas its two products are ADP and D-ribose 5-phosphate.This enzyme belongs to the family of transferases, specifically those transferring phosphorus-containing groups (phosphotransferases) with an alcohol group as acceptor. The systematic name of this enzyme class is ATP:D-ribose 5-phosphotransferase. Other names in common use include deoxyribokinase, ribokinase (phosphorylating), and D-ribokinase. This enzyme participates in pentose phosphate pathway. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
