Product information "Anti-RGS19 (Regulator of G-protein Signaling 19, G-alpha-interacting Protein, GAIP, GAIP, GNAI3IP)"
RGS19 is a member of the RGS protein family, which acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAPs) for heterotrimeric G proteins, increasing the intrinsic rate of GTP hydrolysis and accelerating signal termination. It is a small protein that contains two potential phosphorylation sites for protein kinase C and seven for casein kinase 2. The gene for RGS19 is localized on human chromosome 20q13.33. RGS19 specifically controls signaling of the Wnt-catenin pathway. The protein is highly expressed in human lung, liver, heart and placenta. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Ramos, mouse placenta lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
