Anti-RFC (Activator 1 140kD subunit)

RFC (Replication Factor C), also called activator-1, is a multimeric primer-recognition protein consisting of 5 distinct subunits of 145, 40, 38, 37, and 36.5 kD. Human RFC was purified from extracts of HeLa cells as a host factor essential for the in vitro replication of simian virus 40 (SV40) DNA. RFC, in the presence of ATP, assembles proliferating-cell nuclear antigen and DNA polymerase-delta or polymerase-epsilon on primed DNA templates. Tight interfacial coordination of the ATP analog ATP-gamma-S by RFC resulted in a spiral arrangement of the ATPase domains of the clamp loader above the PCNA ring. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 0.5-1.0ug. Heat induced antigen retrieval with 10mM sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 20 minutes is recommended. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
