Anti-Retinoic Acid Receptor Responder 1 (RARRES1, Tig1)

RARRES1 (retinoic acid receptor responder 1, also Tig1) is a member of the protease inhibitor I47 family of proteins. It is expressed in epithelium, including keratinocytes, plus prostate and breast epithelium. It is considered to be a tumor-suppressor molecule, presumably acting as an inhibitor of carboxypeptidase A. Human RARRES1 is 294aa in length. It is a type II transmembrane (TM) protein with a TM segment between aa21-42. Three potential splice variants exist. There is a 46aa N-terminal extension, a four aa substitution for aa225-294 and a combination of these two variants. Over aa43-294, human RARRES1 shares 75% aa identity with human RARRES1. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml, Western Blot: 1.0ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
