Catenin gamma, also known as Junction Plakoglobin, is a common junctional plaque protein. It is a cytoplasmic protein with soluble and membrane-associated forms. The presence of Catenin gamma in both the desmosomes and in the intermediate junctions suggests it has a role in the structure and function of submembranous plaques. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. , Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin and Formalin): 1-2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
