Anti-Rab6

Rab6 is a member of the Ras superfamily of small Rab GTPases implicated in endocytosis (1). The three distinct members of the Rab6 subfamily (Rab6A, Rab6A' and Rab6B) are structurally similar but likely exhibit nonoverlapping functions (2,3). Rab6 is localized to the Golgi (4) and regulates retrograde transport of membrane-bound target proteins from the Golgi apparatus to the endoplasmic reticulum (5-7) or from the Golgi to the endosome during exocytotic transport (8). Rab6 interacts with microtubule motor proteins such as rabkinesin-6 (KIF20A) and dynein/dynactin complexes, Rab6 related transport requires a functionally intact microtubule system (9,10). Rab6 proteins help regulate cytokinesis and cell cycle check point through interactions with Rab6 effector proteins, including the dynein/dynactin protein DCTN1 and the GTPase activating protein RABGAP1 (11,12). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
