Anti-PSMA-Anti-Gamma Delta (gammadelta) TCR Bispecific Antibody is a purified recombinant human VHH format bispecific antibody targeting the human gammadelta T TCR and PSMA (Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen, also known as Folate hydrolase 1 or FOLH1). This bispecific antibody has been tested in an in-vitro luciferase-based cytotoxicity assay. Figure 1. Schematic representation of ab-VHH format of Anti-PSMA-Anti-Gamma Delta (gammadelta) TCR Bispecific Antibody. gammadelta T cell engagers are emerging immunotherapies that redirect the innate tumor-sensing abilities of gammadelta T cells toward cancer cells. By binding both gammadelta T cells and tumorassociated molecules on malignant-cells, these engagers promote rapid activation and cytotoxic killing through perforin and granzyme pathways. Because gammadelta T cells naturally distinguish healthy from dysregulated tissues, gammadelta T cell engagers offer a promising avenue for potent yet selective cancer treatment. PSMA (Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen, also known as Folate hydrolase 1 or FOLH1) is highly expressed in prostate cancer cells and is used as a prognostic indicator of prostate cancer. The enzyme has folate hydrolase and peptidase activity. PSMA/FOLH1 is used in the clinic as a target for PET (positron emission tomography) imaging of prostate cancer, and as a therapeutic target for radiopharmaceuticals. It is also expressed in other tumor types and in a few normal tissues. PSMA is the target of CAR (chimeric antigen receptor)-T cells and bispecific antibodies currently under development.
