Anti-Protein Kinase C (PKC), clone 3C174

Protein Kinases C (PKC) are a family of serine/threonine protein kinases that play key roles in extracellular signal transduction. MC5 blocks partial proteolysis of PKC by trypsin in vitro. Inappropriate activation of PKC has been implicated in the pathophysiology of many diseases, including diabetes mellitus. The PKC family now includes 11 isoforms that are differentially expressed in various cell types. Applications: Suitable for use in RIA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:1000, Immunohistochemistry (Frozen/paraffin): 1:200-1:500, Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:100-1:500, ELISA: 1:100-1:2000, Western Blot: 1:1000, Immunoprecipitation: 1:10-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
