Contains Positive Control: Human platelet protein (Prod. No. AG-35T-0001), 500 µg supplied at 5mg/ml in SDS sample buffer. Use 5?l (25?g) per lane for Western blotting of tricine gels (13% acrylamide) or 15% Laemmli gels. Protein function: Binds to actin and affects the structure of the cytoskeleton. At high concentrations, profilin prevents the polymerization of actin, whereas it enhances it at low concentrations. By binding to PIP2, it inhibits the formation of IP3 and DG.
