Anti-PPARg (Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor gamma, PPAR-gamma, Nuclear Receptor Subfamily

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR gamma) is a 57.6kD transcription factor belonging to the nuclear hormone receptor (NR1) family. PPARG is vital in the regulation of cellular differentiation, development and metabolism. PPARG is a key regulator of adipocyte differentiation and glucose homeostasis. In addition, PPARG is the main target of thiazolidinediones (TZDs), a class of drug used in diabetes mellitus and other diseases that feature insulin resistance. PPARG is widely expressed with high concentrations being found in adipose tissue. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:4000, Western Blot: 1:1000, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 2.5ug/ml , Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control Tissue: Human prostate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
