Product information "Anti-Porimin (Keratinocytes-associated Transmembrane Protein 3, KCT-3, Pro-oncosis Receptor Inducing"
Porimin was identified by a monoclonal antibody developed by immunizing mice with apoptotic cells. One of these antibodies, designated anti-Porimin (for pro-oncosis receptor inducing membrane injury), was found to directly induce a unique type of cell death in Jurkat cells by binding to a 110kD cell surface receptor on Jurkat cells. Anti-Porimin-mediated cell death was preceded by cell aggregation, formation of plasma membrane pores, and the appearance of membrane blebs. More important, these cells show neither DNA fragmentation nor apoptotic bodies, but display lethal damage of the cell membrane. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HL60, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
