Anti-Plexin B2 (MM1, PLEXB2, PLXNB2)

Plexin B2 is a 240kD member of the B subfamily, plexin family of semaphorin receptors. It is expressed by cerebellar granule cells, neuroepithelium and chondrocytes, and serves as a receptor for Semaphorin 4C. Mature human Plexin B2 is 1819 amino acid (aa) in length. It is a type I transmembrane (TM) glycoprotein that contains an 1178aa extracellular domain (ECD) plus a 620 aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD contains one semaphorin domain (aa20­466) and three IPT repeats (aa803­1092). The ECD may be cleaved into two subunits, a 170kD alpha­chain (aa20­1164) and an 80kD TM beta­chain that remain noncovalently­linked. Multiple splice variants may exist. One shows an alternate start site at Met1369, while a second shows a deletion of aa67­638. Over aa20­1160, human Plexin B2 is 82% aa identical to mouse Plexin B2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
