Phosphoinositide 3kinase regulatory subunit 5 (PIK3R5? also PI3 kinase 1 subunit Ptdlns3kinase, p101, and p101PI3K) is a 97kD regulatory subunit of the PI3K gamma complex. It is expressed as a heterodimer with the catalytic subunit PIK3CG/p120. Human PIK3R5 is 880aa in length. The heterodimerization region is made up of aa25101and aa653753 comprise the region for interaction with G beta gamma proteins. A second 55kD isoform isformed by the deletion of aa 1386. Human PIK3R5 is 86% aa identical to mouse PIK3R5. PIK3R5 is highly expressed in leukocytes, followed by spleen, lymph node,thymus, and bone marrow. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
