PDZK1 (PDZ Domain-containing 1, also CFTR-associated protein of 70kD/CAP70) is a 65-70kD member of the NHER (Na/H Exchange Regulator) family of proteins. It is only expressed in epithelium, particularly that found in intestine, kidney and liver. PDZK1 serves as a scaffold protein that connects cell membrane proteins to cytoplasmic regulators. It also serves a critical role in basal-level bicarbonate secretion. Mouse PDZK1 is 519aa in length and contains four PDZ domains (aa9-90, 128-215, 243-323, and 378-458) plus three phosphorylation sites at Ser489, Ser492 and Ser514. Mouse PDZK1 shares 78% and 91% aa identity with human and rat PDZK1, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, 0.02% sodium azide. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
