Product information "Anti-Paip2A (PABP Binding Protein 2A)"
The eukaryotic mRNA 3' poly(A) tail interacts with the 5' cap structure to regulate translation of mRNA transcripts (1). The eIF4G translation initiation factor associates with poly(A) binding protein (PABP) to circularize mRNA (1,2). Paip1 is a PABP interacting protein that binds eIF4A to stimulate translation (3). A second PABP binding protein, Paip2, inhibits translation by interfering with PABP function. Specifically, Paip2 reduces the affinity of PABP for poly(A) RNA and competes with Paip1 for PABP binding (1,2). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
