Product information "Anti-OTUD5"
0.5 mg/ml with 0.1 mg/ml BSA (US sourced), 0.05% sodium azide. OTUD5 (ovarian tumor domain-containing 5), also called DUBA (Deubiquitinating enzyme A), is a product of the OTUD5 gene, and a suppressor of the innate immune response via its deubiquitinating activity. The Innate immune systems provide immediate but short-lived defense against infection identified by PRRs, or pattern recognition receptors. OTUD5 cleaves the lysine-63-linked polyubiquitin chains of TRAF3, causing it to dissociate from TBK1, thereby failing to stimulate IFN type 1 production and leading to a suppressed innate immune response. Protein function: Deubiquitinating enzyme that functions as negative regulator of the innate immune system. Acts via TRAF3 deubiquitination and subsequent suppression of type I interferon (IFN) production. Has peptidase activity towards 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. Can also cleave 'Lys-11'- linked ubiquitin chains (in vitro). [The UniProt Consortium]
