Product information "Anti-NIP1, BH3 Domain (Vesicle Transport Protein SEC20, BCL2/Adenovirus E1B 19kD Protein-interacting"
NIP1 (BNIP1) is a member of the BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19kd-interacting protein (BNIP) family. It interacts with the E1B 19kD protein which is responsible for the protection of virally-induced cell death, as well as E1B 19kD-like sequences of BCL2, also an apoptotic protector. Alternative splicing of this gene results in four products of unknown function. Transcript variant BNIP1 contains the entire coding region of the gene. This variant contains a fully conserved BH3 domain, which has been associated with pro-apoptotic function. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
