PTM:Phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR.,similarity:Contains 1 UBA domain.,tissue specificity:Ubiquitous., Protein function: Recruits the ubiquitination machinery to RNA polymerase II for polyubiquitination, removal and degradation, when the transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair (TC-NER) machinery fails to resolve DNA damage (PubMed:35633597). Plays an important role in the activity of long-term repopulating hematopoietic stem cells (LT- HSCs). Required for efficient formation of stress granules (PubMed:29395067). [The UniProt Consortium] Recommended dilutions: Western Blot: 1/500 - 1/2000. ELISA: 1/20000. Not yet tested in other applications.. Cellular localization: Cytoplasm, Stress granule .
