Anti-Neurogenin 3 (Ngn3, Neurogenin Family Helix-loop-helix Transcription Factor)

Neurogenins are a family of bHLH transcription factors involved in specifying neuronal differentiation. They are related to Drosophila atonal. The neurogenins (ngns) make up one of these atonal-related gene families. In neural crest cells, the atonal-related neurogenin family is particularly important for the sensory lineage (neurogenins are essential for the formation of dorsal root ganglia), while the achaete-scute homolog ash1 (Mash1) is important for aspects of autonomic neurogenesis (Mash1 is essential for noradrenergic differentiation). Neurogenin 3 also promotes pancreatic development. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000 detected Neurogenin 3 on 10ug of mNgn3 transfected rabbit reticulocyte lysates., Immunohistochemistry: 1:500 detected Neurogenin 3 in mouse embryo E12.5+ tissue., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: mNgn3 transfected and wildtype rabbit reticulocyte lysates, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
