N-acetylgalactosamine 4 sulfate 6-O-sulfotransferase (GalNAc4S-6ST) also known as B cell RAG-associated protein (BRAG), is a type II transmembrane Golgi protein that catalyzes the transfer of sulfate onto GalNAc (4 SO4) in chondroitin sulfate A and dermatan sulfate. The 469 aa rhGalNAc4S-6ST predicts a molecular mass of 55kD and migrates as two bands with molecular masses of approximately 68 and 73kD. The amino acid sequence of human GalNAc4S-6ST is 99%, 93%, 88% and 79% identical to that of chimpanzee, rat/mouse, canine, and chicken. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml detection limit for rhGaINAc4S-6ST is ~ 10ng/well., Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml detection limit for rhGaINAc4S-6ST is ~ 5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
