Anti-MyoD Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Anti-MyoD from Human, Cat, Rat, and Mouse based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with Anti-MyoD from other sources has not been determined. Protein function: Involved in muscle differentiation (myogenic factor). Induces fibroblasts to differentiate into myoblasts. Activates muscle-specific promoters. Interacts with and is inhibited by the twist protein. This interaction probably involves the basic domains of both proteins. [The UniProt Consortium]
