Anti-MSH gamma (Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone gamma)

Proopiomelanocortin (POMC) is the precursor of the melanocortin peptides alpha, beta and gamma. POMC neurons in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus function as key central regulators of food intake and homeostatic control of energy balance in both rodents and non-human primates. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:2000, Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
