Product information "Anti-MRGPRC/SNSR"
Anti-MRGPRC antibody is directed against rat MRGPRC protein. The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from rat based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity with MRGPRC from other sources has not been determined. Protein function: Orphan receptor activated by neuropeptides terminating in Arg-Phe or Arg-Phe-amide. Mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Its effect is mediated by G(q) and G(11) proteins. May regulate the function of nociceptive neurons by modulation of pain perception. [The UniProt Consortium]
