Anti-MDC1 (Mediator of DNA Damage Checkpoint Protein 1)

MDC1, mediator of DNA damage checkpoint protein 1, plays a role in checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage, within S phase and G2/M. It is also thought to act as a scaffold protein during recruitment of DNA repair and signal transduction proteins to discrete foci of DNA damage that are marked by phosphorylation of histone H2A.X on S139. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry: 1:100, Western Blot: 1:2000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
