Serine (or cysteine) proteinase inhibitor clade B (ovalbumin) member 5, also known as Maspin, is a tumor suppressor protein of serine proteinase inhibitor family. It plays an essential role in embryonic development through critical roles in cell adhesion. Also, it is present in normal breast and prostatic epithelial cells but downregulated in the respective carcinomas. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry, ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:500 using human HeLa cells, Western Blot: 1:1000, Flow Cytometry: 2-5ug for 10e6 cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo, I1904-06H: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo, Hybridoma: Mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
