Protein function: Pattern recognition receptor (PRR) which binds Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (PubMed:9468508). Also plays a role in binding of unopsonized particles by alveolar macrophages. Binds to the secretoglobin SCGB3A2 (PubMed:12847263). [The UniProt Consortium] Buffer: 40% glycerol and PBS (pH 7.2). 0.02% sodium azide is added as preservative. Highest antigen sequence identity to mouse: 52% and to rat: 57%
