Insulin-like Growth Factor 2 receptor (IGF-II R), also known as cation-independent mannose-6 phosphate receptor (CI-MPR), is a 300kD, 2264aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the P-type lectin family. The extracellular region contains 15 repeats that mediate homodimer formation and multifunctional binding of IGF-II and many other proteins that do and do not contain mannose-6 phosphates. IGF-II R generally regulates endocytosis and lysosomal/endosomal trafficking. Human IGF-II R shares 85% aa identity with mouse and cow IGF-II R within the extracellular region used as an immunogen. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Capture):2-8ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
