Anti-MAGEA11, NT (Melanoma-associated Antigen 11, MAGE-11 Antigen, Cancer/Testis Antigen 1.11, CT1.1

MAGEA11 is a member of the MAGEA gene family. The members of this family have their entire coding sequences located in the last exon, and the encoded proteins show 50 to 80% sequence identity between each other. The promoters and first exons of the MAGEA genes show considerable variability, suggesting that the existence of this gene family enables the same function to be expressed under different transcriptional controls. The MAGEA genes are expressed at a high level in a number of tumors of various histologic types, and are silent in normal tissues with the exception of testis and placenta. The MAGEA genes are clustered on chromosome Xq28. They may be implicated in some hereditary disorders, such as dyskeratosis congenita. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:50-1:1000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
