Product information "Anti-KCNT1 / Slo2.2"
In 1X PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.09% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. KCNT1 protein plays a crucial role in regulating the electrical activity of neurons in the brain. Mutations in the KCNT1 gene have been linked to a rare form of epilepsy known as KCNT1-related epilepsy, as well as other neurological conditions such as intellectual disability and developmental delays. Recent studies have also found that this protein may play a role in other diseases, such as autism, schizophrenia, and even certain types of cancer. Protein function: Sodium-activated K(+) channel (PubMed:37494189). Acts as an important mediator of neuronal membrane excitability (PubMed:37494189). Contributes to the delayed outward currents. Regulates neuronal bursting in sensory neurons. Contributes to synaptic development and plasticity. [The UniProt Consortium]
