ISLR-2 (Ig-superfamily containing LRR protein 2, also KIAA1465) is a 100-110kD member of the LRR family of proteins. It is expressed on developing motor, sensory and interneurons. Mature human ISLR-2 is 727aa in length. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 571 aa extracellular domain (ECD) and a 135 aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD shows multiple LRRs (aa50-227) and one Ig-like domain (aa233-371). One alternate splice form may exist that shows a deletion of aa160-570. Over aa20-590, human ISLR-2 is 89% aa identical to both canine and mouse ISLR-2. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml detection limit for rhISLR-2 is ~0.2ng/well., Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detection limit for rhISLR-2 is ~5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
