Product information "Anti-Integrin, beta8"
Integrin beta 8 (Integrin b8) is a 90kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the Integrin family of adhesion molecules. It associates with Integrin aV to form a receptor for vitronectin, fibrin, and the latency associated peptide (LAP). Binding to LAP promotes the proteolytic release of active TGF-b from LAP. Integrin aVb8 is required for vascular morphogenesis in the embryonic brain and yolk sac. Within the extracellular domain, human Integrin b8 shares 87% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Integrin b8. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.25ug/10e6 cells. Tested with A172 human glioblastoma cell line., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
