Product information "Anti-Integrin, alpha9 (Integrin, alpha4-like)"
Integrin alpha 9 is a 150kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is widely expressed and is found on smooth muscle, keratinocytes, skeletal muscle and hepatocytes. It principally associates with the b1 Integrin. a9b1 binds to VEGF-C and D, and osteopontin. The 951aa extracellular domain of mouse Integrin a9 contains three b-propellor repeats and multiple PheGly-GlyAlaPro repeats. A potential proteolytic cleavage site in human a9 ECD is absolutely conserved in mouse a9 ECD (Arg 566-Val 567). The ECD of mouse Integrin a9 shares 95% and 89% aa sequence identity to rat and human Integrin a9, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma cells with B cells obtained from a mouse/rat immunized with purified, E. coli-derived, recombinant human Integrin a9 (aa89-169 and aa501-557). Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C for short-term only. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
