Product information "Anti-Integrin alpha 11"
ITGA11 is a 155-160kD member of the integrin a chain family of molecules. It preferentially forms a cell surface heterodimer with b1 integrin. In particular, it is further classified as a collagen-binding group member, showing a preference for binding to collagen I and II. ITGA11 is expressed by embryonic mesenchymal cells in and around areas that incorporate, or utilize collagen during development. In adult tissue, fibroblasts express ITGA11, and collagen:ITGA11 interaction likely contributes to wound contraction and closure. Mature human ITGA11 is an 1167aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein. It contains a large 1120aa extracellular domain (ECD) (aa 23-1142) plus a short 24aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD shows 7 x 60aa FG-Gap repeats that generate b propellers (aa 24-650) with an intervening I domain that binds collagen (aa154-345). Over aa23-1142, human ITGA11 shares 90% aa identity with mouse ITGA11. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. The detection limit is ~0.5ng/lane, Western Blot: 1ug/ml , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
