Product information "Anti-Insulin-Like Growth Factor I Receptor, CT (IGF-I Receptor, IGFIR, IGFR, Insulin-like Growth Fac"
IGFI receptor is a disulfidelinked heterotetrameric transmembrane protein consisting of two a and two b subunits. Both the a and b subunits are encoded within a single receptor precursor cDNA. The proreceptor polypeptide is proteolytically cleaved and disulfidelinked to yield the mature heterotetrameric receptor. The a subunit of IGFI receptor is extracellular while the b subunit has an extracellular domain, a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain. The IGFI receptor is highly expressed in all cell types and tissues. Essentially all of the biological activities of IGFI and II have been shown to be mediated via IGFI R. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Neutralization and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1mg/ml, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5-15mg/ml using immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human placenta (chorionic villi) and immersion fixed frozen sections of mouse embryo, Neutralization: 0.5-1.5mg/ml in the presence of 6ng/ml recombinant human IGF-I., Immunocytochemistry:1-15ug/ml using immersion fixed MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
