Product information "Anti-IFI204"
0.5 mg/ml with 0.1 mg/ml BSA (US sourced), 0.05% sodium azide. Part of the innate immune response to infection is the production of type I IFNs (interferons). The murine Ifi200 family of proteins are activated by IFNs. IFI204 (Interferon-activable protein 204), or p204, is a regulator of bone production and the differentiation of macrophages and skeletal and cardiac muscle cells. Protein function: Inhibits the transcription of ribosomal RNA. May inhibit DNA binding by UBTF. Inhibits cell growth via p53/TP53 and RB1- dependent and independent pathways. Acts as a coactivator of RUNX2 during osteogenesis. May be involved in macrophage differentiation. Enables skeletal muscle and cardiac myocyte differentiation by sequestring Id proteins in the cytosol and promoting their ubiquitination and subsequent degradation. [The UniProt Consortium]
