Product information "Anti-IDH1 / Isocitrate Dehydrogenase (R132H mutant), clone IDH1/7277R"
0.2 mg/ml in 1X PBS with 0.1 mg/ml BSA (US sourced), 0.05% sodium azide. IDH1 R132H antibody binds to IDH1-mutated protein, but does not bind the wild-type IDH1 protein. IDH1 R132H point mutations are frequently seen in World Health Organization grade II and III gliomas and are believed to constitute an early step in tumorigenesis. Protein function: Catalyzes the NADP(+)-dependent oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate (D-threo-isocitrate) to 2-ketoglutarate (2-oxoglutarate), which is required by other enzymes such as the phytanoyl-CoA dioxygenase (PubMed:10521434, PubMed:19935646). Plays a critical role in the generation of NADPH, an important cofactor in many biosynthesis pathways (PubMed:10521434). May act as a corneal epithelial crystallin and may be involved in maintaining corneal epithelial transparency. [The UniProt Consortium]
