Rabbit Polyclonal HKDC1 Antibody against Human hexokinase domain containing 1. Validated for Western Blot. Buffer: 40% glycerol and PBS (pH 7.2). 0.02% sodium azide is added as preservative. Interspecies information: Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: ENSMUSG00000020080: 95%, ENSRNOG00000049045: 95%. Protein function: Catalyzes the phosphorylation of hexose to hexose 6- phosphate, although at very low level compared to other hexokinases (PubMed:30517626). Has low glucose phosphorylating activity compared to other hexokinases (PubMed:30517626). Involved in glucose homeostasis and hepatic lipid accumulation. Required to maintain whole-body glucose homeostasis during pregnancy, however additional evidences are required to confirm this role. [The UniProt Consortium]
